Artist’s Statement:

Using a Semi-Abstract approach to the environment, these works allow for an intuitive and experimental way of describing what is seen and not seen. The mind will not always paint what you are anticipating, and by its refusal to be controlled, you give yourself up to a feeling, where colour, medium and expression combine. I work from my studio at Sandy Hill Arts in Corfe Castle, where l pursue an obsession with colour and how it works within an abstraction of the landscape.
