Artist’s Statement:

“Maria Burns is an illustrator and graphic designer based in the Isle of Purbeck, Dorset. She draws on the fantastic countryside and wildlife around her for creative inspiration. She works in many varied styles but really enjoys watercolour and mixed media collage. She trained as a natural history illustrator and has illustrated and designed many interpretation boards for nature reserves and historical sites. As well as completing many exciting design projects for a varied client base, she illustrates a monthly column for The English Garden magazine.
Maria designs logos, book covers, leaflets, brochures, adverts, illustrated maps, exhibitions and signage for many businesses and organisations as well as having her own range of art prints and cards.”
