Artist’s Statement:

“I have been working in clay for over 30 years both as a ceramicist and for the last 10 years as a community artist.
My work is divided into two main ranges: Marine, drawing from the creatures past and present and Botanical. Inspired by the landscape’s palette and Dorset’s rich folklore. Each piece reflects my ongoing dialogue with the natural world, often infused with humour, to evoke a deeper connection between the viewer and the environment.
I hand build in a variety of clays mainly firing at earthenware temperatures in an electric kiln.
Clay offers infinite possibilities, and exploring its potential continues to be a constant source of joy and discovery in my practice.”
