Artist’s Statement:

Cathy Veale paints large seascapes, driven by a lifelong fascination with water and inspired by Dorset’s distinctive coastline. Having an affinity with sea, she has spent many hours studying the movement and ever- changing patterns of light created by the sky’s interaction with the sea’s reflections. Cathy also works to commission and sells a wide range of limited edition prints which will be available to buy during Art Weeks, where you can meet the artist in person and see her latest work. Cathy has regularly shown her paintings with Britain’s leading watercolour artists in London with the Royal Society of Marine Artists, the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour, and with the South West Academy of Arts.
