Artist’s Statement:

“Most of my life I have been fortunate enough to have lived in Dorset where I discovered that the Isle of Purbeck is an inspiration of natural wonders.

I hope my work conveys something of the magic of this unique county. My paintings focus on sea and landscapes using the translucency of watercolour paints embellished with pen and ink detail. I am captivated by British birds, in particular the patterns of starling murmurations.

Whilst I was a Primary school teacher I created children’s books by writing and illustrating themes based on conservation.

My work is exhibited with other local artists at Ballard and Bay Gallery Swanage, Fossil Blue Gallery Wimborne and Clavell’s Restaurant Kimmeridge.”
