Artist’s Statement:

Master Furniture Designer and Maker, Jason Cameron has a career spanning 25 years and is published as one of the UK’s top 50 bespoke furniture designer and makers. Jason specialises in designing and making bespoke furniture and outdoor furniture. Jason’s clientele ranges from working with individual private clients, interior designers and royalty on several occasions. Jason’s inspiration stems from the strength and simplicity of Japanese design and construction, the Art Deco Movement and the works of Le Corbusier, Rennie Mackintosh and Gerrit Rietveld. Jason works directly with each client to design and create their desired piece and often creates speculative pieces that are available to purchase from Grange Gallery, Wareham. Jason uses a blend of established and innovative techniques achieved with both traditional hand tools and modern machinery, ensuring each design is built to the highest standard while retaining an individual hand-crafted character. Jason was inspired by his father, who worked from his workshop in his garden making rocking horses and furniture. Jason studied at Birmingham City University, obtaining a B.A. (hons) in Design.
