Artist’s Statement:

“Diane Roberts is a local artist who expresses her lifelong passion for Dorset and coastline in textiles After studying painting at college in London and following many years lecturing locally, Diane developed and interest in textiles and has spent some years training and developing the skills to enable her to produce works that are both artistic and proficient.
As well as dyeing her own fabrics, she incorporates luxury fabric such as silks and velvets into her work and also reused vintage fabrics to make modern creations The unique quality of her work lies in her ability to coordinate bright fresh colours, geometric and floral patterns to create the beauty of the Jurassic coastline, its flora and fauna. She exhibits locally.”
