Artist’s Statement:

I’m primarily a ceramic artist that loves printing, drawing, painting, textiles and generally being creative. I make a wide variety of ceramic objects; from intricate, elemental dragons and dragon skin vases, bowls and plates to thrown bottles, press-moulded cats and elephants and lots more.

I print using the lino-cut method to print the same image on both paper and my pots, but I also love the simple technique of mono-printing using botanicals to shows the natural hidden beauty of plants in detail.

I’m inspired by so many things; from mythology, religious imagery, magic, the natural world, folk art and literature to the actual creative process itself. I’m quite obsessed with texture, pattern and colour.
