Artist’s Statement:

“Esme’s passion for the area that she grew up in is evident in her work, thriving on her imaginative use of strong vivid colours, depicting coastline and landscape. The Jurassic Coast and Isle of Purbeck continue to provide Esme with a wealth of ideas for her work along with other inspirations that include Art Deco and Japanese Art & Design.

Esme was born in Wareham, Dorset and studied Textiles, Fashion Design and Marketing at Arts University, Bournemouth and Art & Design at Bournemouth and Poole College. After graduating Esme undertook a career in Communications specialising in Arts Marketing & PR and Professional Fundraising for international and national charities. Esme now works full time as an artist, she also designs and makes art, homeware and jewellery with her husband, Master Furniture Designer and Maker, Jason Cameron for Grange Gallery which they founded in 2019.

Grange Gallery is located at the heart of Wareham and showcases selected artist and makers creations alongside the works of Esme and Jason, it is also home to their studio and workshop, this is the space where Esme paints her collections, Jason makes furniture and both design and make their creations for Grange Gallery.”
