Artist’s Statement:

This year I decided to release my creative spirit whilst exploring and having some fun using simple squiggles. This was a personal challenge as this is a completely new drawing technique never ventured before personally. After experimenting with this new technique I found a complimentary and balanced composition by drawing the face in the finest detail then contrasting the rest of the drawing with the wildness and movement that squiggles can create. The finished pieces I found were far more imaginative and contained a sense of energy within them due to the rapid pen marks, communicating spontaneity, vitality and vigor. As a result of this I am hoping the viewer will be more engaged with the art piece and beable to feel my motion.
