Artist’s Statement:

My ceramic pieces are built intuitively using stoneware clay, they are then glazed and kiln fired in my garden studio in Swanage. Humour plays an important role in my art, often acting as an invitation to the viewer to approach the piece, pause, smile and look closer. I am guided by a constantly shifting source of inspiration, often evolving in response to daily observations and passing thoughts. Allowing myself the freedom to be led by my inspiration gives me artistic freedom; I can make a ceramic handbag one day and a crumpet the next!
