Artist’s Statement:

“I am a Wildlife Artist specialising in Birds of the World. A true man of Purbeck, born and bred in Swanage. Always interested in the countryside and painted from an early age. Aviculture has been my hobby since the age of 8 which has given me the opportunity to study birds closely and to visit private collections. My paintings are finely detailed in Watercolour but I also work in Acrylics, Oils and Pencil. My artwork has been used for book illustrations, calendars and donated to various Charities for fundraising. In 2018 I donated a framed original Watercolour painting in aid of the Swanage Bandstand Appeal.
I am a Member of the Dorset Coppice Group and again enjoy being inspired for my Artwork by woodland surroundings. It was a great honour for me to be presented to Her Royal Highness, The Princess Anne when she officially opened the Head Quarters of the Coppice Group at Bonsley, Blandford. She spent quite some time chatting to me about my Artwork.
