Artist’s Statement:

“I have had a passion for art for as long as I can remember and decided from an early age that art would always be a big part of my life so it was no surprise that I chose to do a degree in Art and Design. After graduating I travelled the world with my trusty sketchbooks and camera and a few years later, I settled in Brazil where I taught Art in a school, designed and painted signs for many local businesses as well as painting original works of art inspired by the tropical location.

Nowadays I am settled in the beautiful town of Swanage, Dorset and work as a teacher alongside painting. It is a place of extreme natural beauty which has inspired me to focus on landscapes and seascapes. Although constantly experimenting with different mediums and techniques, I have spent the last few years working with oil inks as I find that the colours are so vibrant. I endeavour to create artworks that show the ever-changing mood of the sea and sky on the wonderful Dorset coastline.”
