Artist’s Statement:

“I am a teaching and practising artist based in Dorset, working from my own pottery studio. My work includes studio pottery, ceramic sculpture, mixed-media painting and large-scale metalwork sculpture.
I’m interested in the figure and emotional connection. Clay sits at the centre of my practice because it’s direct, physical and honest. Ideas often move between clay, paint and metal, shifting as the material changes.
The Dorset landscape feeds into the work in both practical and symbolic ways. Rivers, coastlines and ancient places recur, and this influence is developing into an oracle deck alongside my studio practice.
Teaching matters to me. I teach both pottery and yoga, and see them as parallel practices: grounded, mindful ways to slow down, focus and reconnect. I believe everyone can improve, make, and be creative when given time, encouragement and space.”
