PAW 2014

In 2014 the John Flowers Bursary Fund was set up by Purbeck Art Weeks to help Purbeck artists to develop their artistic talents. The fund was very generously contributed to by the late John Flowers who donated the proceeds from the sale of his art work to the fund

Concerts & Other Events

We have a number of video’s of the performances from 2014 including the dance performace at Lychett School of Venice Unmasked with the Red Priest, the  Inner City Brass: Of Knights and Castles concert and A Celebration with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra strings concert. After the festival had finished, our Associate Musical Director, Natalie Clein, invited a group of internationally acclaimed musicians to play in Purbeck, on the 29th, 30th and 31st of August. We have recordings of the Rehersals in the Tank Museum and a Masterclass with Natalie Clein.

PYA 2014

Purbeck Young Artists (PYA) is the young people’s section of the Festival. Our aim is to nurture and celebrate the creativity of all our young artists. Each Year the PYA team encourage schools to explore a shared theme in lots of inspiring ways.  The generosity of our sponsors  allows us to pay professional local artists to go into schools and run creative workshops.

Competitions

Purbeck Young Artist Competition: work based on this year’s theme was exhibited at Rollington Barn (primarily in the Cafe) and there was a prize giving on the Thursday evening before the Festival began.

Venetian Art Competition: Guess the artist who created the image and win event tickets.
